Photographing things

Photography has always been a tool of sorts for me. I was not taught how to identify or express my emotions as an adolescent, and eventually I found that outlet through images. I could take a camera and show the audience a perspective I can see, but can't articulate. Dew drops on a blade of grass. Mushrooms growing in the forest floor. Moss growing in the gutter of the house I was raised in, with the chimney blurred in the background. Things that require focus and intention, but also a certain type of 'letting go' that requires you to forget about time itself. Things that people don't have time for these days. The most magical moment happens when I show someone an image and it visibly transports them to another dimension at once.
